Here’s a photo from 1982 with a boy dressed up just like his dad—complete with his work uniform and a cigarette. Hopefully, parenting has progressed after a few decades, and that’s not an actual cigarette… or was it? Again, even if the boy was just pretend smoking next to his father, wasn’t this another poor example of what a parent was encouraging his kid to become when he grew up? Sure, inspiring your kid to get a job is a wonderful message, but that cigarette has got to go. Smoking is the cause of nearly half a million deaths each year in the United States alone, and it causes over seven million deaths worldwide annually. Surely, you wouldn’t want to add your child to the statistics.
