You might consider yourself a very supportive parent, attending all your kids’ soccer games and letting your kids know how proud you are of their achievements. Some parents build their kids a treehouse in the backyard while others build an American Ninja Warrior junior obstacle course. All these are pretty awesome. But it’s hard to top the extreme dedication of this mother from the 1980s who literally turned herself into a ramp for her son’s BMX tricks, steadily holding a board and bearing the weight of bike and boy.

However, once your initial shock over Mom’s commitment wears off, you can’t help but question the overall safety (despite the number of pillows) of this activity. From bike tires trampling over her fingers to smashing her nose with the wooden board, so many things could go wrong. Hopefully, Mom thought of other safer ways to support her son’s passion when he decided to advance to more dangerous bike tricks.
