For those who don’t remember this film, It was a thriller about the wife of an engineer who solicits the help of a professional hostage negotiator after her husband is taken by rebel forces in South America. It proved to be a great film, and many were captivated by the romance drama between the two lead roles, Crowe and Ryan, amidst the thrilling objective to retrieve her husband, played by David Morse. But it seems that the romance bloomed outside the set as well. Unfortunately, Meg Ryan was in a high-profile marriage with Denis Quaid at that time. Unlucky for Quaid, they divorced soon after. Meg and Dennis have one child, Jack Quaid. He was born April 24, 1992, a little more than a year they got married. Meg unfortunately never married Russell Crowe. That’s life.
