Seems that the title of the movie was appropriate for the affair between Malkovich and Pfeiffer. Malkovich ruined his six-year marriage with Glenne Headley. Pfeiffer was one of the brightest movie stars then, and Malkovich was a rising star as well. A movie with sex scenes always raises eyebrows. But acting is supposed to be just acting.
