Let’s go back a bit into history. Well okay, more than a bit actually. For those who can remember, and for those who want to know, Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn appeared in the movie “Woman of the Year” in 1942. They played married journalists Sam Craig and Tess Harding. Spencer Tracy started his affair with Hepburn in 1941. Yet he remained married to his wife Louise Tracy, and tried his best to keep the love affair with Hepburn a secret so not to embarrass his wife. But hollywood would not just let it go…the two became one of the most loved “couples” in moviedom history. They continued to see each other until Tracy died in 1967. Hepburn took several years off of acting to care for Tracy at the end of his life. Truly a love affair not to forget.
