The Iraq War drama stars Ryan Philippe as a recent veteran suffering from PTSD, and Abbie Cornish as Channing Tatum’s girlfriend. But there was an on-set attraction between Philippe and Cornish that many had noticed. Philippe was married to Reese Witherspoon. 1999 was a big year for them, as their careers were taking off. They got married and co-starred in the film “Cruel Intentions.” But Philippe’s intentions eight years later to pursue a relationship with Cornish broke apart the marriage. Eventually Witherspoon filed for divorce. Cornish and Philippe dated for three years.
