No two people infected with HIV will have the same symptoms, some may not even have any at all. The first few weeks will have flu-like symptoms which can include sore throat, fever, headache, upset stomach, rashes, and swollen glands. Having these symptoms automatically does not make you HIV-positive. Consult a doctor and have an HIV test, though at this stage the test may not give accurate results. It may take 3-12 weeks for enough signs of the virus to show up on routine tests, which measure antibodies against HIV.
