Military men are taught to practice discipline, and Swango was like many of them. He followed the rules and took note of everything he had learned from the marines. However, he took his to the next level. He practiced jogging and calisthenics on a daily basis, and when he was unhappy with his performance, he often punished himself by doing pushups. Still, this didn’t stop him from entering university, from where he excelled as well.
