By 1992, Swango he was able to reestablish himself as a physician by forging documents. He did say that he was in prison, but he left out the true reason. He falsified his criminal record down to a demeanor that started with a mere fistfight with a colleague. Everuthing had been fine had he stuck to that, but the selfish and unsatisfied man that he is, he wanted more. He was able to get away with it until he attempted to join the American Medical Association (AMA).
