Kristin Kinney was a nurse at Riverside Hospital when she met and fell in love with Swango. The two had planned to settle as soon as everything was set in place. And by 1991, Swango resigned from his job and sought for the position of a doctor once more. In order to do that and escape the law, he had to legally change his name to Daniel J. Adams. It was a smart move from his end back then because his past mistakes couldn’t be traced with a new name on his badge.
