The professional cosplayer, glamor model, vlogger, Twitch streamer, and Gundam enthusiast, Megan LeeAnn Turney @megturney, is an Instagram celebrity with 742K followers. She was introduced to cosplaying in 2002 when she went with her friend to the annual anime convention Ushicon 1. Her first cosplay was Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon from the manga series Sailor Moon, and though her first costume was a fail since she wasn’t able to complete even half of it, she learned to create better ensembles and was soon recognized for her high-quality cosplays. She has drawn much attention for her extraordinary renditions of Star Wars’ Princess Lei Organa in her slave garb, Cowboy Bebop’s bounty hunter Faye Valentine, and Borderland 2’s female version of Krieg the Psycho. Meg also appeared on the Syfy reality TV show Heroes of Cosplay and was a special guest at the Fan Expo Vancouver in 2016.
