The famous cosplayer and gaming enthusiast Amie Lynn found her way into the world of cosplay when she was invited by her college friends to attend an Anime Expo in 2009. Before cosplaying, she was already big into Japanese pop culture, anime, video games, and various fandoms. She attended the convention in California dressed as the green-haired witch C.C. from the anime Code Geass, and from that first purchased costume that didn’t fit her well and kept falling apart, she learned to make her own costumes, first by altering clothes and stitching simple garments to later on making her own armor like the one she wore as Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. Though she came up with her handle @misshabit initially as her gamertag when she was obsessed with Metal Gear Online, Amie Lynn confesses she’s not too happy about using it on social media. However, she decided to keep the name because it rings true to all things she’s passionate about—like cosplay, video games, and anime—forming into a habit.
