The Italian cosplay celebrity Eleonora Aureliana Guglielmi, better known as Yuriko Tiger @yurikotiger, has been cosplaying since 2008. She was born in Savona, Italy and was raised in Imperia where she grew up watching anime series that sparked her interest in cosplay. She went to different schools in Italy and suffered from personal attacks and cyberbullying, so she dropped out and worked in her father’s bakery to save money and move to Japan. She became one of the first students to attend “Manga Summer School,” studied as a makeup artist, and came out with her first cosplay, Suzumiya Haruhi. She also has some amazing portrayals of Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII, Lulu from Final Fantasy X, Sheryl Nome from Macross, Junko Enoshima from Danganronpa, and one Harley Quinn standing out from her roster of Japanese characters. Yuriko became the official cosplayer for the Japanese multinational company, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Inc., starred in Dorama Kun No Tono, and formed her own J-Pop group named Samurai Tiger.
