Designed by John Hilborn and opened in 1958, the Compton Par 3 Golf Course is located at heart of Compton, California, where the crime rate is almost twice the national average, and gang activity is not at all uncommon, with the notorious Bloods and Crips gangs turf rivalry going back decades, and occasionally making their presence known through gunfire. However, you won’t see any gang colors inside the 9-hole course as these are not allowed, so you wouldn’t exactly know who’s who. Don’t be surprised if there are no local tournaments being held at this course.
