One of Scott Miller’s masterful creations, the Coeur D’Alene Golf Resort in Idaho features an 18-hole par 71 course once called America’s “most beautiful golf course” with its breathtaking lake views from almost every hole. It is most famous for its 14th hole – The Floating Green, which is the first and only floating, and movable island green made possible by an underwater cable system. Measuring 15,000-square feet and weighing about 5 million pounds, the par 3 hole can be moved from 90 yards for the ladies, up to 220 yards for the championship tees. Golfers have two chances to make the green and are then taken there by ferry.
