Bewitched wasn’t all about politics. Unfortunately, there were limited channels during that era. The ongoing news did affect the show’s run in its eight years on TV. Production started on the same day that John F. Kennedy was assassinated. The network also had to air the murder of Martin Luther King. Because the public needed to know what was happening around, the broadcast of 1968 episode “I Confess” had to be paused to run news and to keep the viewers updated. As soon as reported, it was back to regular programming as per usual.
