Agnes Moorehead played the mother of Samantha in the sitcome.In real life, however, the familial bond between the two doesn’t exist. In fact, there’s no love lost between the two ladies. It was said that in one occasion, Montgomery made a sarcastic swipe at Moorehead’s nonexistent charming behavior on the set. She did receive an evil glare from the other actress when she made that remark. Montgomery remained cavalier about her remark and simply replied, “Don’t you look at me that way.” It looked like they were constantly on the verge of a catfight.
