The switch between two actors wasn’t easy, but many of the show’s fans would eventually warm up to Sargent. Unfortunately, Agnes Moorehead, the actress who played Samantha’s mother named Endora, refused to accept the newest cast member. In fact, there were several uncomfortable and cumbersome moments on set as a result. In an interview with Chicago Outlines, Sargent shared, “About the third or fourth show I was in, [Moorehead] said to people in front of me, ‘They should never meddle with success.’” Truth be told, he had to deal with a contentious environment.
