While York failed to win Montgomery over, reality is, Montgomery and Asher’s marriage wasn’t that stable. There were rumors flying all over and they say that her producer husband cheated numerous times. She was so infuriated perhaps that in retaliation, the star herself had her own affair with Richard Michaels. Michaels was one of the show’s other producers. As the marriage dissolved and crumbled into oblivion, the two actually ended up seeing each other for two years after. While not much has been said after the fact, strong evidence does point to the fact that the relationship began even before she and her then husband parted ways.
