Some Tv sitcoms end with a bang while the others are lucky if they even end with a fizzle. There were tons of shows back then that were taken off the air because they’ve lost their audiences or they’ve lot their appeal. Bewitched wasn’t one of these unlucky shows that ended on a low note. In fact, the sitcom was apparently renewed for two more years before they aired the final episode in 1972. They did so well that it makes you wonder why they had to end at all. Montgomery was the very reason behind it. She decided that she has had enough of nose-twitching and of magic. Her marriage to Asher was also going through its rough patch at that time. In fact, they were on the verge of a breakup. It seemed as if the actress no longer wanted to spend her days in his presence and was more than ready to start anew.
