This dog was bred in Russia before WWII, and was used as a working military dog. It is a cross of 17 different breeds, and is highly intelligent and easily trainable. They can weigh up to 130 pounds and reach 30 inches in height. They have a thick, waterproof double coat which protects them from freezing temperatures. They are calm, confident, and very courageous. No doubt they make very good guard dogs, and are very protective of children. Since they are powerful and muscular, they need a strong leader, and need to be socialized extensively as they don’t like strangers. They are very active and have lots of stamina, they need regular exercise. But, they are great at living indoors, better though if they have a yard to roam around.
