There are a lot of well-known and mesmerizing blowholes across Hawaii. There is the Halona Blowhole, Nakalele Blowhole, Honuapo Blowhole and many more. Blowholes are created when sea caves grow towards land and result in vertical shafts that emits captivating explosions of water. It is a fascinating sight to behold, but despite the warning, visitors continue to come too close putting themselves in dangerous situations. Back in July 2011, David Potts, a man from California was thrown into the blowhole by a sudden huge wave. The search for him was eventually called off by the Maui police and he was declared missing. Always be cautious as obvious danger exists at or near the blowhole, it would be best to just admire it from a safe distance.
