Look for Billboards

Billboard signs are a regular sight in big touristy cities. This is not the case in Hawaii. It is one of four states in the United States that has banned the use of billboards for advertising. Alaska, Maine and Vermont are the other three states with billboard bans. The organization most responsible for keeping the Aloha State clear of billboards has been The Outdoor Circle. This organization was primarily responsible for spearheading efforts banning billboards in Hawaii since 1927. If someone puts up a Billboard in Hawaii they can be fined not less than $25 nor more than $500, or imprisoned not more than one month, or both. This is actually a commendable move by the local government. Why waste amazing views with advertising eye-sore?
