Everyone knows that Ellen is an animal lover, just like her wife Portia, sharing tons of animal photos on their IG feeds, and proven by the fact that she had even bought a gorilla reserve in Africa. But what most don’t know is that Ellen had actually wanted to become a veterinarian when she was a young girl, but never pursued her dreams thinking that she wouldn’t be able to finish the necessary courses. Obviously, these plans never panned out, but throughout her life and success, she has still managed to show her love of animals by not only donating to many animal causes, but having guests come on her show to talk about animal rights campaigns and the likes, as well as being a vegan since 2008.
