She’s Related To Royalty, The Duchess Of Cambridge

While it may sound incredibly farfetched, Ellen happens to be related to the one and only Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Apparently, the comedian received a letter in the mail from the New England Genealogical Society, which she claims she thought “was from my lady doctor” that claimed she was the 15th cousin of Kate via a man named Sir Thomas Fairfax and his wife, Agnes Gascoigne. The letter explained, “You are distant cousins… but cousins still the same.” The letter came right before Kate was set to wed Prince William, to which Ellen joked during one of her shows, “I’m definitely invited to the wedding now! Between the Packers winning the Super Bowl and this, I’m having a good week.” And amazingly, Kate isn’t the only VIP that Ellen is related to either.
