Before Ellen became famous for her quick wit and incredibly happy demeanor, her beginnings were meager to say the least. In the earlier days when she wasn’t earning millions of dollars, she took on a couple of odd jobs like waitressing at TGI Friday’s, being a paralegal, and even shucking oysters back home in New Orleans. But it was selling vacuum cleaners that she was really good at, probably because of her very joyous demeaner.
