As if being related to royalty isn’t wild enough, Ellen is also related to another type of royalty, the Queen of Pop, Madonna! Yup, you read that right. Ellen and Madonna are 11th cousins, sharing ‘the same 10th great-grandfather, Martin Aucoin from France.’ Both Ellen and Madonna’s families had left Nova Scotia from France back in the 1700s, and landed in different areas in the United States, growing up without any idea that they somehow had a similar blood relative. And while Madonna’s real last name is Ciccone, which is reportedly Italian in nature, DeGeneres is actually French.
