Although it should come as no surprise that most of Disney’s movies reach “box office hit status,” the illustrated film ‘Finding Nemo’ seemed to be on a whole other level. But what many didn’t even realize is that the role of Dory, the adorable yet incredibly forgetful blue and yellow fish was written precisely for Ellen to voice. In fact, fans fell in love with her character so much in the first film that producers decided early on that she needed to get a movie all to herself, which she did when “Finding Dory” was released in 2016. Thankfully Ellen loved every second of the first film and had no qualms about joining the cast once more for a second chance to play the beloved role.
