Filipinos are proud of their hospitality. Many will go out of their way to accommodate visitors. This goes with food as well.  Don’t refuse food served to you, particularly if it was cooked in your honor. Some dishes can take days to prepare, especially done for foreign guests. And don’t be surprised if they insist on serving you. Most will explain the dishes to you so you can choose which you prefer. You are not expected to wipe out all the food served to you anyway. Be brave and definitely polite.
