Most places, especially urbanized cities, have safe tap water, though it may not be what you are used to. Better rely on bottled water you can purchase in different sizes at supermarkets and convenience stores. Be careful though of buying bottled water in the streets, as vendors more often than not, refill empty water bottles with tap water and reseal them. It is a scam, even the locals know about it. Though these people are just trying to earn a living. It may be cheaper than real bottled water, but why risk it? Unless you have no choice, it is better to get your bottled water from a reliable, and authorized outlet.
