Filipinos are a proud race, even though they are friendly and hospitable, if you insult their pride, expect a maelstrom of rage. Aside from being over-sensitive, the “Filipino pride” is something they will defend and protect. Even negative comments about their politicians or entertainers will get you into trouble.
