Property crime rate is 7,365 per 100,000, mostly due to robberies. Albuquerque experienced an increase in violent crime and property crime between 2015 to 2017, with a significant number of auto theft and carjacking. Its crime rates are higher than the national rates, with more than double the national average for violent and property crime. All in all, the crime rates of this city are shocking, to say the least.
