This Russian breed was bred for military use. They are also quite rare, and are also called the “black pearls of Russia”. Beautiful coats that don’t shed, they are regal-looking. Not really a terrier in the strict sense.They are used to patrol borders with soldiers. Needless to say, they are a tough, strong breed. Highly intelligent as well, and very loyal. However, they love to play, and can be very gentle, given their massive size. They normally weigh 130-140 pounds. These dogs need a lot of exercise, and will call your attention to it. Walking or jogging around the neighborhood will do.
