This breed originates from Italy and was bred for truffle hunting. A very specialized skill, but not its only skill, it is a good water retriever as well. Usually about 30-35 pounds, this dog has a very dense, curly coat. The best way to groom this breed is to keep the coat short. Otherwise, you will need to brush it constantly. They are extremely sociable, and love being around people. Definitely good with children and families. They love the outdoors, and need regular exercise. They are intelligent but not stubborn, and can be trained easily. They have a hypoallergenic coat and don’t shed.
