Moving on to medium sized dogs (25-50 pounds), the Puli may be a unique looking dog. They originate from Hungary, and were bred to be sheepdogs. While they don’t shed, when they mature in adulthood, the coat needs to be pulled apart and tied into cords. A bit of work, but then all that is left to do is to make sure they are clean, and free of debris. It’s like their coat is a magnet for debris, such as leaves and twigs. Indoors, they will be fine. After bathing, it may take a long time for their coat to dry, so be patient and prepared. They are active and alert, and love to play. They normally weigh about 30-35 pounds, just don’t overfeed them.
