Before there was Jada Pinkett Smith, apparently there was Mariah Carey. Although Smith was already performing tons of shows with DJ Jazzy Jeff, his hit TV sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air hadn’t aired just yet, nor had Carey released her debut album. The two were still working their way into becoming some of Hollywood’s biggest music stars. The turnaround period wasn’t too long though, two years after this photo was taken, Mariah Carey was soaring high as America’s “Songbird” while Will Smith was going to become one of the biggest names on daytime television. These days, they are still considered some of Hollywood’s most respected royalty.
