Ask anybody and they’ll probably tell you that F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is their ultimate favorite 90s sitcom of all time. It’s so timeless, in fact, that people still binge-watch it until today, more than 30s years after it first premiered on NBC. But before they became the most iconic sextet there ever was, they used to be able to travel without people and media hounding them at every turn. Right before the show premiered on TV, the cast was taken on a trip to Las Vegas by their director, Jim Burrows, to give them a chance to bond. Aniston recalls, “[Burrows said] ‘This world can be pretty dark, and you guys gotta really stick together and take care of each other.’ And we took that to heart for sure, obviously. And then he handed us each a couple hundred bucks and said, ‘Now go into the casino and go gamble because this is the last time you’ll be able to walk into a casino anonymously.’ And we had no clue what he was talking about… and sure enough, that was the last time we were able [to do that].”
