18 Year Old Elon Musk

In case you don’t recognize him, the guy in the shades is 18-year old Elon Musk photographed with his roommate, Navaid Farooq, while they were students at Queen’s University. Having come to Canada from South Africa, Musk was a novice to the customs of his new homeland, but thankfully Farooq was more than willing to help him become more comfortable in his current surroundings. To make extra cash in college, Musk used to sell computer parts while helping fix his schoolmates’ computers, a far cry from his $166 billion status today. He shared, “I could build something to suit their needs like a tricked-out gaming machine or a simple word processor that cost less than what they could get in a store. Or if their computer didn’t boot properly or had a virus, I’d fix it. I could pretty much solve any problem.”
