This particular episode might have been the reason why writers decided to get them together since a portion of that episode was all about why Monica wouldn’t date him. Their chemistry was so notable though, that many believed the two were actually dating in real life. Even if they’ve never been in a true relationship, it’s obvious to anyone that sees them on screen and off screen, that the entire cast are some of the best friends anyone could ever have.
