Before landing in her current position as meteorologist for the ABC13 Eyewitness News AccuWeather team, Elita Loresca started her career with KCBS-TV in Los Angeles as a news associate then moved on to KGET-TV in Bakersfield in 2001 and KGPE-TV in Fresno as the weather anchor. She then joined WSVN Miami in 2004, where she would report on some of the most devastating hurricanes such as Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. It was also while with WSVN when she was voted as “America’s Sexiest Newscaster” in FHM magazine. The Manila-born beauty is not just looks, earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism at Cal State Fullerton and a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University, while also a member of the National Weather Association and Seal of Approval holder from the American Meteorological Society.
