Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Lissette Gonzalez has been the news meteorologist for CBS4 News since 2007. A product of the University of Miami and Mississippi State University where she got her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist degree, the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society member started out as the evening weather anchor for KTLA’s Prime News in Los Angeles where she also received an Emmy nomination as the host of the KTLA special, Access LA: de todo-Latin Explosion. The Cuban American beauty is a former Miss Miami and Miss Florida and was the second runner-up to Miss America in 1988. The talented host has also tried theater, starring in the Off-Broadway hit 4 Guys Named Jose and Una Mujer named Maria in New York and Miami, which then led to a record deal with RCA Records in 2001.
