Every day is a great day indeed for San Antonio viewers, as they get to see their very own Cristina Blackwell, hosting KENS 5’s Great Day SA every morning. The stunning San Antonio native with a Mexican heritage from her mother’s side, spent her high school in Mexico before studying culinary arts in Paris at Le Cordon Bleu. But her education didn’t stop there, as she also studied speech communications at UTSA. Her language skills allowed her to become the morning show host for Univision 41 before making it as the weather reporter for Despierta America. Her career was put on hold for a few years when she married professional hockey player Pete MacArthur and started a family, until Great Day SA was offered to her in 2017.
