Kristi Marie Capel is the morning news co-anchor of Fox 8 News in the Morning and a former Miss Missouri who competed in the Miss USA 2006 pageant in Baltimore. She is actually a native of Kentucky, and joined the Miss Kentucky USA pageant the previous year. With a degree in Broadcasting and Communications from Evangel University, Kristi spent three years with KSPR-TV in Springfield as a weather and news anchor before moving to WBRE-TV/WYOU-TV as the morning show weather anchor, also for three years. She also hosted New Day Cleveland for over two years at WJW-TV. The wife and mom, who was a former volleyball player in school, keeps herself in shape through running and recently made the news herself when a man accused of stalking her was arrested.
