Smíchov is a district in the capital city of Prague and is located on the west bank of the Vltava river. It is part of the Prague 5 or Prague Municipal District, which is a second-tier municipality. There used to be a monument dedicated to Soviet tanks in World War II located in Štefánik square but has been replaced with a glass-and-steel building which has become the symbol of the district.
