Bad Example Of A Ghetto

Considered as one of the worst ghettos in the country, it was thought that it could solve what the Communists call the “Gypsy problem,” as the housing estates were modern but didn’t prove to be a welcome experience for most who settled there. Even though it became an exclusive Romany settlement, residents didn’t get along with each other, and those who were not used to the modern amenities, used them as they saw fit, leading people to call the housing project as “the housing estate of horror” or the “Czech bronx.”
