This district in the northern part of Prague is located on the bend of the Vltava river and makes up the main part of Prague 7. Holešovice used to be a substantial industrial suburb but is now home to art and exhibit areas such as the state-owned National Gallery, which manages the largest collection of art in the Czech Republic, the exhibition ground Výstaviště, the Industrial Palace, and Křižík’s light fountain, an illuminated and musical fountain used for cultural events.
