Deanna looked around the room, it was spotless, unlike McKenna’s room at home. There were no posters on the wall, clothes in the closet, and other belongings. Even the boxes were arranged in a neat and orderly pile. “I was just standing there thinking, wow, she really cleaned up a lot,” she told CBS New York in a later interview. She was proud that her daughter was so neat and orderly. It seems she has matured after all. But, she was also a bit confused, this was not like McKenna. And where was she? Deanna was actually exhausted, and seeing the neat bed, made her realize how much she wanted to rest on it. After all, she had been through a lot. She was exhausted after the flight, and the hours it took to find the building. She decided to hang around and wait for McKenna.
