As Deanna looked around, she realized that it was a two-bedroom unit. She actually sighed with relief, as she noticed a few girls in the other room. No wonder the door was unlocked, she thought. The students were busy packing their stuff, they hardly noticed Deanna standing by the doorway. Still, Deanna waved a nervous “hello” before heading towards the other room, her daughter’s room. Still another surprise greeted her, the room was empty! She started to wonder if she got the dates mixed up. Maybe she was late, but at least she was there. But it seemed McKenna didn’t need help at all, there were boxes on the floor neatly packed, and the bed was made as if nobody slept on it.
