Ideophobiacs demonstrate a morbid fear of reason, thoughts, or ideas, especially new ones. New thoughts and ideas bring a sense of distrust and distress to someone dealing with this phobia. As such, those who suffer from ideophobia are highly unlikely to try new things or even engage in any discussion of topics. This, in turn causes the ideophobiac to live a predominantly isolated life, pandemic and quarantine measures notwithstanding.
