16. Kinemortophobia: Fear of zombies

Taken from the Greek words “kine” which means motion and “morto” which means dead, this phobia literally means fear of the motion of the dead. While reanimated corpses (fast or slow-moving, depending, of course, on the zombie school of thought to which you subscribe) may not exactly be on your list of favorite things, someone with this phobia is thrown into fits of panic at the very concept of zombies. This morbid fear may be deeply rooted in ancient legends of the undead and voodoo lore. Or, it may be the result of too many seasons of The Walking Dead, gone bad.

The next phobia won’t keep the zombies at bay, either.
